A body of person has been recovered from the River Moy following a search
A woman's body has been recovered from the River Moy in Ballina following a search for a missing person which began on Thursday, gardaí have confirmed.
The body was recovered from the river at approximately 10am this morning (Saturday, January 11) following a search involving a number of groups.
The body of the woman was removed to Mayo University Hospital.
Gardaí have thanked all those who involved in the operation.
The search has been stood down.
