A search remains ongoing in Ballina for an individual said to have entered the River Moy.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána told The Mayo News that emergency services were alerted to an incident at the river on Thursday morning, January 9.
“Searches were conducted on Thursday for an individual believed to have entered the water and will continue today, Friday, involving the Garda Water Unit, River Moy Search and Rescue, Coast Guard, Gráinne Uaile Sub Aqua Club, Teach an Uisce and Civil Defence.”
