Mayo County Council announces Christmas market in Castlebar will be postponed due to the warnings in place

Christmas markets in Mayo postponed

Christmas lovers in Mayo will have to be a little bit more patient. Due to the weather warnings that have been issued from Met Eireann, for health and safety reasons the decision has been made to postpone the Christmas in Castlebar - Christmas Markets on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th, the Mayo County Council writes on its Facebook page. 

Regarding a new time, the County Council informs: "It is intended at present to proceed with the Market on Sunday, December 8 (1pm to 6pm) and possibly continue the markets into Monday and Tuesday."
