Westport Skatepark will be temporarily closed from today, Monday, October 14 until Thursday, October 17.

This is to facilitate maintenance works on the park.

Parking at the area adjacent to the Skatepark car park will remain open to the public.

Westport skatepark is located right beside the Great Western Greenway at the junction of West Road and Leenane Road.

Earlier this year, the skatepark was one Westport location to come to life with artwork by 'The Walls Project', taking nine days to paint.

In addition to the purpose-built skateboarding area this facility has an astro turf pitch which can be used for basketball, soccer, volleyball, camogie, hurling, gaelic football and rugby.
