Addergoole Titanic Memorial Park in Lahardane
PLANNING permission is to be sought for 19 social houses in Lahardane.
Members of Castlebar Municipal District Council were informed that Mayo County Council are due to publish a planning application for the development next week.
The council is seeking to construct 16 new houses and three new units at the former MacHale’s shop.
A further eight tree-bed social houses in the Castlebar Local Electoral Area (LEA), located at Chestnut Grove in Castlebar, are due to be completed by the end of this month.
A further 104 social houses within the Castlebar LEA are due to be completed by the end of 2027; predominantly in Castlebar town, but also in Carnacon (9 units) and Ballyvary (12 units).
