Mayo school appoints new Deputy Principal

Ms Suzanne Lohan is the new Deputy Principal at St Colman's College

St Colman’s College in Claremorris has announced the appointment of Ms Suzanne Lohan as its new Deputy Principal. 

Succeeding Ms Maria Byrne, who has become Deputy Principal at Calasanctius College, Oranmore, Co Galway, Ms Lohan, originally from Co Roscommon and attended Scoil Mhuire in Strokestown.

She earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway, followed by a Professional Diploma in Education from the same university. 

The Roscommon woman holds a Postgraduate Diploma in School Leadership from the University of Limerick. 

With 21 years of teaching experience, she began her career teaching accounting, business, and maths at Ballinamore Community School, Co Leitrim. 

She later taught at Ballyhaunis Community School and her own, Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown.  

Ms Lohan is looking forward to working closely with the Principal, Roy Hession, the dedicated staff and students, and the entire school community in Claremorris.
