Nevin's Newfield Inn in Tiernaur has been nominated for Visitor Attraction of The Year at the Bar of the Year Awards
Mayo pubs have received ten nominations in this year’s Bar of the Year Awards.
Five Westport bars, one Ballina pub and the five-star Ashford Castle were among those nominated for the 2024 awards out of over 700 submissions.
Cosy Joe’s in Westport is up for Local Bar of the Year while JW’s Brasserie in Westport’s Wyatt Hotel is also up for two awards: Restaurant Bar of the Year and Best Wine Bar.
The Porter House and Cosy Joe’s in Westport have been nominated in the Best Live Entertainment Bar category.
The Wyatt Hotel itself is up for Hotel Cocktail Bar of the Year while Cobbler's Bar, which is located at the hotel, has been nominated for Visitor Attraction of the Year.
Bar Square in Ballina is Mayo’s sole nominee in the Late Bar/Nightclub of the Year award while both the Cobblers Bar and Nevins Newfield Inn have been nominated for Visitor Attraction of The Year.
The Prince of Wales Cocktail Bar at the award-winning Ashford Castle Hotel & Resort is nominated for Five Star Hotel Bar of the Year.
All finalists will be considered for the 2024 People’s Choice Award, voted by the public. Finalists are encouraged to share the voting form on their social media platforms and website to boost votes
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner hosted by Anton Savage on Monday, August 19 in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
