The road traffic accident took place on the N26 earlier this evening.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of what is believed to be a fatal road traffic accident between the towns of Foxford and Swinford this evening. The accident between a car and a lorry took place on the N26 shortly after 5.30pm this evening.
The emergency services, including the Gardaí, remain at the scene and the road is currently closed.
