Sean Keane plays his first gig of the summer season in Westport Town Hall Theatre tonight.
SEÁN Keane gets his summer series of shows underway in Westport Town Hall Theatre this Wednesday night, July 3, and will perform each Wednesday night at the venue until August 28.
“We started off doing a few shows some years ago in Westport Town Hall Theatre and the demand took us by surprise. It is a great town and attracts a lovely clientele, many of whom, thankfully, like our kind of music and what we do.
“We get people from America and England and all over Ireland who are in the Westport region. I am joined on stage by Shane MacGowan (Tubbercurry) and Fergus Feely and the shows are very homely with plenty of chat and stories, music and song,” said Seán.
He released his debut album, All Heart No Roses, in 1991 and was encouraged to continue on the music trail by Ciarán Mac Mahúna of RTÉ Radio who gave the album decent airplay and a good review.
Seán continues to maintain a busy schedule with regular tours to Germany and Austria and other countries while also performing dates around Ireland. If you are in the Westport area in the next two months, check out Seán Keane in Concert at Westport Town Hall Theatre. The show runs from 8pm to 10.30pm. For more see https://www.westporttheatre.com/
