Westport Family Resource Centre
Deputy Michael Ring has confirmed that three Family Resource Centres in Mayo have been awarded funding to ensure that their core level of funding for 2025 will be €160,000.
Deputy Ring stated: “This funding will allow the Family Resource Centres to increase their staffing complements in some cases, and it will support the pivotal role Family Resource Centres play in so many communities across the country by providing a comprehensive range of services tailored to individual community needs.
“It is very important that Family Resource Centres are supported. They provide vital work in our communities and they have a direct and positive impact on many people’s lives,” he added.
Deputy Ring said the funding will ‘combat’ the increased costs some of the centres have faced, as well as aiding in ‘expanding service provision’.
“It will strengthen services in the Family Resource Centres,” he concluded.
The following details the funding allocations to the three Mayo Family Resource Centres:
Family Resource Centre | Funding |
BALLINA FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE | €23,726 |
CASTLEBAR LE CHEILE FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE LTD | €38,747 |
CLAREMORRIS FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE | €39,234 |
