A scene from last year's Vintage Day in Aghamore
THE final touches have been put in place for hosting the Aghamore Vintage Day this afternoon Sunday, April 28. The committee members are confident that it will be bigger and better than ever this year with entrants coming from all over Connacht as well as from Dublin, Laois and many other parts.
The Aghamore campus is the site for this major event which looks set to attract a fine attendance to the east Mayo village. Apart from the fine selection of vintage material that will be on display throughout the day including steam engines, the afternoon will also feature a cattle show, horse and tractor ploughing, auto jumble, bouncy castles and much more.
A devoted team of stewards will be in place to coordinate parking and access to the venue should be no problem for anyone. Midwest Radio will broadcast from the venue and will keep listeners fully up to date with events in the village.
This is the third year of the Aghamore Vintage Day and the reputation for excellence established over the previous two years is certain to ensure that the 2024 show will top them all. Further details can be had by calling 087 6909044 (John Corley) or 086 8585968.
