Body of man in his 20s recovered from River Moy in Ballina

THE body of a man has been recovered from the River Moy in Ballina.

Yesterday evening (Wednesday) members of Grainne Uaile Search & Recovery Unit were called by An Garda Síochána at approximately 7.30pm after a person was seen entering the water.

The body of a man, who is understood to be in his 20s, was recovered from the water by approximately 8.50pm.

Cllr Michael Loftus, who attended the scene, extended his deepest sympathies to the family behalf of the Grainne Uaile Search & Recovery Unit.
