A new series of ‘An Ríl Deal’ is back on our screens as TG4 and Adare Productions are looking for the next big thing in the World of Irish Dancing.

The third episode, set to air this Sunday, March 24, will feature Westport local, Ela Kohen-Murray.

Ms Kohen-Murray has been dancing since she was three under teachers Bernadine Cresham-Ball and Louise Cresham at the Cresham Academy of Irish dance, who have recently celebrated 30 years of teaching.

Speaking exclusively to The Mayo News, the 24-year-old said she 'really enjoyed the experience of creating an original piece to perform for the judges'.

"I am extremely passionate about becoming a professional dancer, so the experience of 'An Ríl Deal' allowed me to explore the performance element of Irish dancing that competition dancing does not allow for. I hope everyone at home enjoys my performance" she added.

Holding classes all across the county, the Cresham dance academy is directed by sisters Bernadine and Louise Cresham, both of whom are nationally certified by the An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha, and renowned for their own achievements and performances.

Fantastic performers of all styles of traditional dance will entertain viewers over 8 episodes on the show; from Step dancers, Sean-Nós dancers to Set dancers, even a fusion of all styles will be seen.

The show has no age restrictions on the dancers; young, old, solo, duos and groups will be showing off their moves.

Keeping a close eye on all the talented hopefuls are the three judges, all experts in the field of Irish dance; Labhras Sonaí Choilm Learraí, Úna Ní Fhlatharta, and Ronan O’Connell.

Presented by Síomha Ní Ruairc, the series will feature dancers and groups from across the country including Galway, Mayo, Donegal, and more.

Each week will feature different dancers as they battle it out with show stopping numbers in hopes of reaching the finale and be crowned winners of An Ríl Deal.

‘An Ríl Deal’ airs every Sunday at 8.30pm on TG4.
