Ireland's most patriotic places revealed ahead of St. Patrick's Day, with Mayo recognised for their Irish pride.

From city bustle to countryside charms, Betfair Casino has unveiled the top Paddy's Day powerhouses.

Mayo came in at number seven in the top ten list.

 Values are calculated on a scale from 0 to 100, where 100 is the location with the most popularity as a fraction of total searches in that location, a value of 50 indicates a location which is half as popular. 

According to insights from Google Trends, the Irish locations came out on top as the spots resonating most deeply with the spirit of St. Patrick's Day

By analysing the term ‘Saint Patrick’s Day’ over the last two decades, Sligo and Wexford amassed an overall average search score of 100.

While researching Ireland’s proudest places, the interest rates in the Paddy’s day celebrations were also analysed.

While St.Patrick’s Day has always been deep-rooted in Irish culture, Google Trends data shows that search volume related to the holiday first peaked in 2016. However, 2023 was the biggest year since 2004 for St Patrick's Day, with the dip in between most likely following on from the pandemic.
