The Mayo artist will play his first headline gig next week
Castlebar artist Chris Cresham will play his first ever headline gig next Saturday, February 24, in Garbo's Venue.
There is great excitement for the gig, with a full band joining him onstage, and Ballina native Aisling Mullarkey, and rising artist Seamus Harty, opening the show.
It has been a busy couple of weeks for the Castlebar musician, with his new single ‘Back To You’, being released today.
In 2023, Chris Cresham was selected for Hot-press Magazine’s ‘Irish Music Month' competition with his original song ‘My TV’ as one of four finalists selected by Midwest Radio.
The Irish songwriter has never been afraid to be vulnerable and express emotion in his music.
Tickets for the gig are available now
Merging modern pop, folk and country music with an eccentric poise unique to him, Chris lives and breathes every aspect of what he does as a musician and songwriter.
The Castlebar artist has had some amazing opportunities- playing music abroad in Cyprus for a summer, where he got an opportunity to craft his identity through writing music and playing live every night.
Since then, he has been working alongside ‘The Voice of Ireland’ star Liam Geddes, who recently wrote and produced Latvia’s Eurovision selection song for 2024.
Mr Geddes has also worked alongside another talented producer named Patrick O’Donnell who recently has produced tracks for Ireland's rising band ‘Kingfishr’, who have recently opened for Bruce Springsteen and Dermot Kennedy.
Chris is known for his emotional storytelling through his lyrics and has accumulated over 90,000 streams across Spotify with his original music.
He has also opened for prominent artists like Chasing Abbey, Late Late Toy show star Michael Moloney, and Hudson Taylor.
2024 promises to be an exciting year for him, from gigs nationwide, and his long awaited set to be released.
Doors for the Castelbar gig open at 7pm next Saturday, February 24, and you can get your tickets on Eventbrite, and listen to ‘Back To You’ on Spotify.
