€176,616 in funding for four Mayo projects under CLÁR Programme

Michael Ring TD, has confirmed that €176,616 in funding has been allocated in total to four Mayo groups under the CLÁR Programme (Measure 1).

Deputy Michael Ring stated: “I am delighted to confirm that €176,616 has been awarded to four very worthy projects in Mayo under the CLÁR Programme. CLÁR is a targeted investment programme for rural areas that aims to provide funding for small infrastructural projects in rural areas. This targeted investment can have a huge impact on small rural communities."

Deputy Michael Ring continued: “Time and time again, we have seen the very positive impact that funding of this nature can have on local communities. These projects help communities to thrive and develop.

“The Government are committed to investing in rural Ireland and improving the quality of life for rural areas. This funding is very welcome news”.

The following are the successful groups in County Mayo:


Louisburgh Community Futures CLG - The repair and refurbishment of Louisburgh Town Hall - €49,500

Bohola Community Biodiversity Park - Provision of a walkway and seating - €50,000

Burrishoole Community Partnership - The development of an outdoor park - €44,616

Ballina Garracloon National School - Resurface of play area - €32,500
