Planning permission granted for national school extension

PLANNING permission has been granted for the construction of an extension for a Mayo national school.

Permission has been conditionally granted to St. Joseph’s Brackloon NS, a Catholic co-educational primary school near Westport, for construction of a new single storey extension within the school site.

The block will include three new classrooms, a set room, a user assisted wc/shower and two classroom base special needs suite and circulation.

The development will also include all associated site works, connection to existing services and the removal of the existing wastewater treatment system and provision of a new system.

New fencing and additional parking spaces will be constructed, and a playing pitch is to be relocated for the development.
