Burrishoole parish aid for Haiti

A church gate collection to help with the raising of funds for Haiti, will take place at the various churches in the parish of Burrishoole, over the weekend of February 5, 6, and 7. The collections will take place as follows: Friday evening (7pm Mass) at Shramore church, Saturday evening (7pm Mass) at Tiernaur Church, and on Sunday morning (10am Mass) at Newport, and (11.30am Mass) Mulranny.
All funds raised will be handed over to the Gena Heraty Orphanage Fund, and people are asked to please be generous with contributions. Gena Heraty, who is from Liscarney, Westport, went to Haiti 16 years ago after training with Viatories Christi, and she has spent her time working with the poorest of the poor, with children in the orphanages.
