Back by popular demand, Mick Flavin and his band will perform at Maura Luke’s, Tourmakeady, on Friday, August 21. Mick has played at the venue on numerous occasions over his 28 years in country music, and he always creates a real buzz.
Mick’s latest single, ‘Just a Little Too Much’, was written by Johnny Burnette and originally performed by the late Ricky Nelson. It’s an uptempo song that veers away from traditional Mick Flavin material. Tourmakeady revellers will also be treated to some of his greatest hits from over the years, such as ‘Old School Yard’, ‘Maybe Someday’, ‘Never Too Old’ and ‘County Of Mayo’.
Singer/Songwriter Kevin Logue recently joined Mick’s band as lead guitar. Kevin, who is no stranger to the stage, has just released a new single, ‘Born To Run’.
