Here are some weight-loss tips for anyone looking to shed those pounds gained over Christmas.
Lose weight and feel great
Weigh Loss Veronica Mannion
I help people to lose weight and feel good about themselves. For the past year, I have been running Easy Slim Fitness classes around the county. These classes involve an initial fitness assessment, a motivational talk, dietary planning and fitness classes. My goal is to support and motivate people as they lose weight. With the start of the new year, here are a few of my tips to help you along the way. Set goals I usually suggest that you settle on three goals that are relevant to your weight loss and that are achievable. To determine these goals, ask yourself the following questions:
How much weight do you want to lose this week?
What habits are you going to change?
How much exercise will you do?
Look at your diet Get to know what you like to eat, what you could eliminate and what you should consume more of.
Do you prefer savoury or sweet?
Do you have any weakness?
Do you drink enough water?
Keep a food diary Regularly writing in a food diary will help create a disciplined approach to your weight loss.
A food diary will show you where things go wrong, and where they go right. When you write it down, you will see it.
What we do and what we think we do can be very different. Keeping diary will ensure that we have a true picture of what we eat and when, and its impact on our weight.
Be consistent Consistency means doing the same thing day in, day out. It is what has got you to the weight that you are now. Once you change your habits, you need to be consistent in order to lose that weight. Use your food diary to look at what you did well and what you could have done better. It could be something simple like not eating your favourite biscuits after your dinner every day. One of my lady clients who stopped buying biscuits, lost 14lbs in six weeks. By cutting out biscuits out she was losing 2lbs to 3lbs each week.
I hope these few tips help you on your journey to successful weight loss.
