High-velocity bluegrass band Whiskey Mash of Kansas City are among the many acts visiting Westport this year.
Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival is returning for the 19th time this coming June.
The festival is widely regarded as the leading bluegrass event on the island of Ireland and among the top bluegrass festival in Europe. This year's programme will feature 17 acts – eleven from the US, three from the UK and Europe and another three from Ireland.
The festival will take place over the weekend of June 6-8, with a very special pre festival concert on Thursday June 5, featuring two top bluegrass family bands from the US.

A brand new festival website has also been launched, with details of all the acts, the main concerts and a day-by-day programne.
The vast majority of the festival gigs and sessions are free to the public, while there are special ticketed concerts each night. Tickets for all the main concerts are now on sale via the website, and are already selling very fast.
