Luke Thomas and The Swing Cats’ much-anticipated Kings Of Swing tour is stopping off in Westport Town Hall Theatre on Saturday night, January 25. This brand-new show celebrates 100 years of swing music with a musical timeline of classics from the 1920s right up to the modern day.
The lively repertoire includes big-band songs like ‘Sing Sing Sing’, ‘Puttin’ on The Ritz’, ‘Just a Gigolo’ and ‘Mack The Knife’ as well as crooning favourites like ‘Mr Bojangles’, ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ and ‘Moon River’ and the iconic swing anthem ‘New York, New York’.
Lead singer, Meteor Award-winner Luke Thomas captivated audiences as a headline act at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival and Electric Picnic last year. He has also performed on The Late Late Show, Ireland AM, The Today Show, The Six O’Clock Show and every major radio station in the country. His stage presence exudes timeless sophistication, electric energy and effortless cool as he channels the suave charisma of Sinatra and the debonair charm of Dean Martin, captivating audiences with every note.
Boasting two No 1 albums, three TV concert specials and eight personally requested performances for President Higgins, Luke Thomas and The Swing Cats bring that irresistible charisma and magnetic charm that defined the iconic legends of swing music.
The Swing Cats have packed out Westport Town Hall Theatre over the past number of years, and this performance will undoubtedly attract another full house.

• Show starts at 8pm. For tickets (€28 each), visit westporttheatre.com or call the theatre box office on 098 28459.
