Padraig Stevens and Leo Moran will take to the stage of Claremorris Town Hall Theatre on Easter Saturday, April 16.
Sligo man Padraig Stevens Sligo, Ireland in November 1946. He has been involved in music-making all his life both as a performer and a songwriter. Padraig has recorded and performed with The Waterboys, Dé Danann, The Stunning, Blaze X, and The Problems. is best known for his work with The Saw Doctors, with whom he has recorded and toured extensively. He is also co-writer of some of The Saw Doctors’ hit songs, including ‘I Useta Lover’, ‘Still the Only One’ and ‘That’s What She Said Last Night’. He has also released two albums of his songs – ‘Sound!’ and ‘Puddles and Rainbows’.
Leo Moran is a founding member, lead guitarist and vocalist with The Saw Doctors. A Tuam native, Leo has been an iconic figure in the Irish music scene for the past 35 years.
Padraig and Leo have worked on a number of musical projects together, including The Saw Doctors, The Folk Footballers and The Shambles, and have been playing as a duo since 2017. The debut album ‘News from the Old Country’ was released in 2018 to great acclaim.
