PETS’ CORNER Meet Jack, a loving 18-month-old Collie who desperately needs a loving forever home
Mutt of the Month
August – Jack
Jack is a really beautiful 18-month-old collie, rescued from the Mayo pound, where unfortunately many of Madra’s rescue collies come from – and in bad shape. Too many of these uncared for dogs have never had a bed to sleep in, let alone seen the inside of a house. However, Jack is one of the lucky ones. He was well treated and loved at one stage, as he is in great condition.
A nice, easy, friendly fellow, Jack has very good manners on the lead and gets on well with other dogs. However, it would be best if his new family did not have livestock, and he will need good fencing, to make sure his first trip to the pound was also his last.
Jack is just one of many Mayo and Galway rescue dogs at Connemara-based rescue centre Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue and Adoption (MADRA) looking for a loving home.
All dogs are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please see www.madra.ie, visit MADRA’s Facebook page or call or text Marina on 086 8149026.
