Beyond the Barricade returns to Ballina

Ballina Arts Centre, in association with Ballina Salmon Festival, welcomes back the sensational Beyond the Barricade show on Monday and Tuesday, July 6 and 7, following its sell-out four-night run in Ballina last December.
Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, this production has been likened to the very best of West End shows.
Beyond the Barricade tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption – a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.  It tells the story of ex-convict Jean Valjean, who breaks parole only to be hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert. When Valjean agrees to care for the young daughter of the tragic factory worker Fantine, their lives change forever.
The show features many classics from the musical phenomenon that is Les Miserables, including ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, ‘Bring Him Home’, ‘One Day More’, ‘Master of the House’ and ‘On My Own’.
Directed by Ballina’s own Lavinia Gilmartin, it boasts an impressively talented 80-strong cast from Ballina and the surrounding areas.

For tickets, €15 each, contact Ballina Arts Centre on 096 73593 or e-mail info@ballinaartscentre.com.
