ATU offers free Leaving Certificat revision sessions to students in March and April
Students across Mayo are invited to take part in a series of free Leaving Certificate revision sessions at Atlantic Technological University (ATU).
The initiative has already seen a major surge in demand, with more than 980 students registered for this year’s sessions.
The university has reported unprecedented interest in its annual Leaving Cert Revision Days, which will run between March and April 2026, offering support across a wide range of subjects including Mathematics, History, Chemistry, Accounting and Home Economics.
A total of 12 dedicated revision days will be delivered in a blended format, with both online sessions and on-campus events across ATU’s network, including its campuses serving the west and north-west region.
The initiative has proven particularly valuable for students in counties like Mayo, where access to additional paid tuition or “grinds” can be limited, providing a free and accessible alternative for exam preparation.

Fiona Kelly, Marketing Manager at Atlantic Technological University, said the strong uptake reflects the growing need for inclusive education supports.
“ATU is committed to enabling education and building a connected ecosystem that supports meaningful engagement between the university and young people preparing for their Leaving Certificate,” she said.
“We are delighted that over 980 students have registered to participate in this year’s Revision Days. These free sessions promote equal access to education by supporting students who may not have the resources to pay for grinds.”
The subject-specific sessions are designed to provide focused, expert-led revision, helping students not only understand course material but also how to apply their knowledge effectively in exams.
