Mayo County Council Arts Service has announced its submission deadline of Friday, January 16, 2026, at 5 pm for its annual Grants and Bursaries for 2026.
Among the opportunities available are Arts Act Grants, which provide financial support to voluntary and not-for-profit organisations, festivals and groups delivering arts events or activities in the county. Individuals are not eligible to apply.
The Mayo Artist Bursary, supported by both Mayo County Council and The Arts Council, offers funding to professional artists of any discipline who are currently resident in the county. The bursary aims to support artists at all stages of their careers.
Four Tyrone Guthrie Bursaries are also being offered, allowing Mayo-based artists to spend a week at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in County Monaghan. The residency supports practitioners across all art forms and provides access to studio facilities, rehearsal space and workrooms.
Applications are also open for UPSTART grants, an initiative promoting artistic collaborations involving people with disabilities. The award supports opportunities for people with disabilities to develop arts projects in celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3. This grant is supported by Mayo County Council and The Arts Council.
Additionally, Drama League of Ireland Summer School Bursary will award two groups who demonstrate innovation, quality and creativity in their work. For eligibility, groups must have put on a production in 2025 and be keen to improve the Amateur Drama sector in their local area. One individual per group will have the opportunity to attend the Summer School.
Application forms and detailed guidelines are available on the Mayo County Council website.
