The Ballinrobe native had been working in District Two which is under the areas of South Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim since her appointment in 2021.
It is understood that Judge Murphy will take up her new assignment in September in order to deal with matters already before her in District Two.
Prior to becoming a district court judge in October 2020, she worked as a solicitor at Gilmartin & Murphy Solicitors in Kiltimagh. Judge Murphy had been serving as a ‘mobile judge’ prior to her appointment to District Two.
