Two Mayo players have been included in the Ireland U20 Women’s squad.

Emily Foley and Grainne Moran have been selected to wear the green of Ireland ahead of the 2025 Summer series which is taking place in Wales. Foley and Moran who hail from Ballina both represent Galwegians RFC while the Mayo duo play their rugby in the backs.

Reacting to the players' call-up, Ballina RFC chairman Alan Rowe revealed to the club website: “To have two of our own named in an international squad is very special. Grainne and Emily are thoroughly deserving of their selection and we look forward to watching them wear the green in the next few weeks. I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Grainne and Emily, their families and all the coaches who have helped them along the way. Female rugby in Ballina is thriving and we're very excited about that.”
