Westport Quay (inset), which will be subject to road closures according to Mayo County Council
People traveling in the Westport Quay area will need to allow for extra time in their journey today (Wednesday, June 11), as the harbour will be subject to a series of road closures.
Mayo County Council announced yesterday that the busy area will be undergoing marine navigation improvement works from early morning until the afternoon.

In order to facilitate the infrastructural upgrades, the following road closures will be in place from 9 am to 3 pm.
The L5842-6 will be completely closed.
The L5842-0 and L5842-7 will have restricted access available.
