Serious accident has occurred near Mulranny
A SERIOUS road traffic accident has occured in west Mayo with the main Mulranny to Ballycroy road now closed as a result.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of a single vehicle road traffic accident which occured along the N59 close to Mulranny at around 10am this morning.
It is understood that one person suffered a very serious injury at the collision close to the railway bridge near Mulranny and as a result the road has been closed.
The road is expected to be closed for a number of hours and diversions are currently in place.
