Minister of State Alan Dillon will officially open Balla Sensory Park
Balla CRD and Balla Tidy Towns are pleased to announce the official opening of their new Sensory Biodiversity Park will take place next weekend.
The new Sensory Park is designed to provide a multi-sensory experience for individuals of all abilities and the official opening will take place at 3pm on Saturday, August 31 at the Fairgreen in Balla.
The Sensory Park aims to create an inclusive and therapeutic environment where visitors can engage their senses through a variety of features, including fragrant plants, textured pathways, and interactive elements. The park is designed to be accessible to all members of the community, offering a peaceful retreat and a place for learning and personal growth.
The official opening ceremony will be carried out by Minister of State, Alan Dillon. The event will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, a guided tour of the park, and speeches from esteemed guests. Refreshments will be provided afterwards in the Community Resource Centre, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet with members of the community who have contributed to and will benefit from this project.
“We are thrilled to open this Sensory Park, which represents our commitment to creating inclusive and engaging spaces for everyone in our community,” said Ger Durkan from the Balla Sensory Park Committee. “We believe this Park will be a valuable resource for relaxation, education, and personal enrichment.”
The Sensory Park has been made possible through the generous support of a number of sponsors, and the hard work of our dedicated volunteers. Members of the public are invited to join the local community for this special occasion and experience the unique benefits of the Sensory Park.
