Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene on Monday evening
An investigation is underway following the death of a woman at a house in County Mayo.
Gardaí and emergency services were notified after the woman’s body was discovered and attended a residence in Killala earlier this week.
The body of the woman, who was in her 40s, was taken to Mayo University Hospital where a post-mortem took place, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons.
A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
