Mayo Pride takes place May 31 - June 3 2024

The Mayo Pride 2024 festival launch promises to be full of laughter and celebration.

The vibrant spirit of fun, diversity and inclusivity will once again take centre stage as Mayo Pride kicks off this year’s festival with a lively launch event at Castlebar’s Linenhall Theatre on Saturday, May 11.

Celebrating love, identity, and community, the Mayo Pride crew invites everyone to join them for an evening filled with craic, camaraderie, and a barrel of laughs.

Festivities will begin with the much-anticipated festival launch, where attendees can grab coveted festival programs, snag exclusive merchandise, and indulge in pre-show refreshments.

The highlight of the evening will be the performance of Irish comedy's rising star, Shane Daniel Byrne, as he presents his debut hour of comedy titled ‘But He's Gay’.

Fresh from sold-out runs at prestigious festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe and the Dublin Fringe, Byrne brings his signature brand of humour to Mayo for his first national Irish tour.

David O'Doherty, one of Ireland's most beloved comedians with Achill Island roots, praises Byrne as his favourite new Irish comedian for many years, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of laughter and entertainment.

The Mayo Pride 2024 Festival Launch promises to be a celebration of authenticity, acceptance, and joy.

As attendees gather in anticipation of the 2024 festivities, they will not only enjoy a night of uproarious entertainment but also contribute to the ongoing journey towards equality and acceptance for all.

Tickets for the event are sure to sell out quickly, so be sure to secure yours on the Linenhall website.
