Tommy, Hector, and Laurita to end their podcast

Say it isn’t so…

Tommy, Hector, and Laurita announce they are ending their podcast ‘for good’.

In a social media statement today, the trio said: “This wonderful podcast started during the pandemic when all three had clear work schedules and although it has been hugely successful & a wonderful experience for all involved, it became tougher to find time to record together allowing for each of their individual careers and schedules”.

The podcast began in September 2020, and became many people’s escape during the multiple Covid lockdowns. 

In their individual statements, Tommy Tiernan, Hector Ó hEochagáin, and Laurita Blewitt all made it clear that the shock decision to end the show was solely based on diary clashes. 

In his statement, Tommy thanked his co-hosts for making him laugh ‘more than anyone else ever has.

"It was a wild and brilliant trip… See ye down the road for a few morning pints!”

Hector’s statement reminisced on the show's ‘ups and downs, and stories, loads and loads of stories’.

“"I’ve had some of the best laughs with Tommy & Laurita on this podcast, in tears with giddiness and craic”.

In her individual statement, Knockmore native Laurita said the past two years have been such fun doing the podcast with two of her ‘greatest pals’.

“From recording in the hen house to getting creamy pints in so many beautiful bars across the west, it has been nothing but a joy”.

"Thank you for listening," the trio added in their joint statement.
