Mayo business woman wins prestigious retail award

Rethink Retail have announced Mayo woman Melissa Moore as the winner of the 2024 Top Retail Experts award.

Chosen from an impressive roster of over 400 nominees, the founder of Cong based business The Retail Advisor, joins an elite group of visionaries and leaders in the retail realm globally. This esteemed recognition celebrates Moore’s innovative approaches, and pivotal role in driving transformative change in the retail world. 

Now a multi-award-winning retail consultant, Moore explains she is very “passionate about retail and [is] delighted to accept this prestigious award”. With over 24 years experience working with national and international brands, she now empowers retailers and creators to reach their potential through sales growth and excellent customer experience. 

Host of Ireland’s biggest retail podcast, ‘The Retail Tea Break’, Moore’s aim is to decode myths, share knowledge and give her audience insight into the industry. With over 60 episodes, guests have included Mayo based retailer, Portwest, Circle K, Kilkenny Design, and many more. 

As well as this, Moore delivers workshops to an international audience, motivating teams to deliver sensational service through sales, standards and customer experience. Currently, she also  lectures at JE Cairnes School of Business & Economics (University of Galway) where she delivers modules on both the Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision, and the Apprenticeship in Sales.
