Prestigious win for Gala Keel in Achill at National C-Store awards

Gala Retail, Keel in Achill has been named ‘Small Convenience Store of the Year’ at the prestigious ShelfLife National C-Store Awards 2023. Now in their 23rd year, the C-Store Awards are the only comprehensive and independently judged business accolades for the convenience store sector.

Store owner, Sandra Nicholson, attended the awards at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire for the esteemed ceremony where the best of the Irish convenience sector were recognised for their success and contribution to the industry.

Over 440 guests from various corners of the retail industry were present. The evening saw the presentation of 38 awards, recognising excellence across a diverse array of categories and honouring the finest stores in the industry.

To be awarded Gold Small Convenience Store of the Year is an acknowledgment of the huge efforts of the team in Mayo, who always strive to deliver the best in retailing and service to their customers.

It’s been an award-winning month for the store as Gala Keel was also awarded an award for ‘Excellence in Retail’ and picked up the ‘Baker’s Corner Award’ at the 2023 Gala Annual Conference, which took place at The Great Southern Hotel in Killarney, Co Kerry.
