The old post office in Kiltimagh, which has now been transformed into a coffee shop
THE old Post Office in Kiltimagh will take on a new life when it will reopen on Saturday. Operated by the Reilly family over the decades, the postal service to Carroll’s on Main Street some years ago.
This weekend sees a new beginning for the venue when local man Pádraic Ivers and his partner Monika Rutkowska (Poland) will open their new venture, Postbox Coffee, from 12 noon to 3pm as a ‘taster’ for what is to follow. Pádraic is son of Ann (nee Gilmartin and Eugene Ivers and both families are steeped in the local GAA tradition of Kiltimagh.
The new venture will be open seven days a week from 7.30am to 4pm with possible seasonal additions for the Christmas period. Both Pádraic and Monika have wide experience of working in pubs and Working restaurants in Dublin but this is their first venture eon their own. They look forward to welcoming all customers in the times ahead.
