THE family and partner of the late Niamh Kelly have made a presentation of over €13,000 to the Mayo Roscommon Hospice.

Niamh passed away surrounded by her family in the the care of Mayo Hospice at the age of 26 in August, just days before her 27th birthday.

Shortly before her passing, Niamh had started a fundraiser on Facebook for her birthday and was overwhelmed by the amount of donations that had come in within the space of a few hours. The donations continued to come in after Niamh's passing, and an incredible €13,099 was raised for Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation.

Niamh's partner Liam McHugh, and her family wanted to mark Niamh's birthday week by presenting the funds at the Mayo Hospice to CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation Martina Jennings.

Niamh was so proud of the amount that was raised, and took great joy in telling the staff of the hospice about her fundraiser. Both Liam and Niamh were so grateful to the staff of the hospice for organising a 'date night' while she was there, and they were simply amazed by the attention to detail that was paid.

Liam explained that Niamh was his best friend and soulmate, and along with her family and friends, will miss her beyond words. They would like to thank everyone who donated to Niamh's Birthday Fundraiser, and all who supported them over the last two years.
