The Westport Hotel Group has announced that it has been named as one of the winners of the 'Great Places to Work - Best Workplaces in Ireland' awards and is also in receipt of the Failte Ireland Employer Excellence Programme 2023.

Congratulating the Westport Hotel Group, Paul Kelly, CEO of Failte Ireland said: “This accolade honours not only your dedication to making your business a rewarding and appealing workplace but also your positive contribution to the tourism industry."

Ireland's Best Workplaces is an industry recognition for companies of all sizes and industry sectors who have set their ambition to build a great culture in Ireland. Using the global standard 'Best Workplaces' methodology as its basis, this recognition serves as a key differentiator to highlight the Westport Hotel Group as employers of choice in an increasingly competitive talent market.

The Failte Ireland Employee Excellence Award honours hotels that demonstrate a high level of commitment to their staff, providing them with opportunities for training, development, recognition and career progression.

Announcing the awards, Director Joe Corcoran praised all the employees for their culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence throughout the process: “These awards are a testament to the amazing work that our team does every day to deliver value and service to our customers. We are grateful for the trust and support of our employees, who are the heart and soul of our company.”

The Westport Hotel Group consists of the Castlecourt Hotel, Westport Plaza Hotel and Westport Coast Hotel. Employing over 500 people places the group as one of the leading employers in Mayo.
