Business support agencies launch Mayo Ideas Month

Week long event replaced by month of activity

Business support agencies launch Mayo Ideas Month

Mayo’s flagship business support series, Mayo Ideas Month, takes place in October 2023. It is a series of idea generation, entrepreneurship and business events hosted by the enterprise development agencies and organisations in County Mayo. Replacing Mayo Ideas Week, the month long format makes it possible for businesses to attend all events instead of having to choose between them.

The practical and relevant events take place around the county addressing core challenges and areas facing organisations of all sizes. Mayo Ideas Month events will help businesses meet these challenges with confidence.

“Mayo Ideas Month is all about helping businesses to build in a structured and assured way”, explains John Magee, Head of Enterprise at Local Enterprise Office Mayo. “The events are carefully planned to help businesses at all different life stages from start-ups to scaling mature enterprises. We encourage every business owner in the county to check out the programme and register online now.”

Mayo Ideas Month begins with the well-established Spirit of Entrepreneurship at ATU where high profile entrepreneurs share insights, experiences and advice in presentations and panel discussions. MC for the night is The Positive Economist, Susan Hayes Culleton.

Most Mayo Ideas Month events are free of charge. Owners and managers of businesses large and small are invited to register through the website www.mayoideasmonth.ie. Events include support for new and fledgling businesses as well as guidance and networking for established enterprises.

Events are hosted by the following enterprise development agencies and organisations: LEO Mayo, Enterprise Ireland, IDA, Údarás na Gaeltachta, Westbic, ATU, ATU iHub Mayo, South West Mayo Development Company, West Regional Enterprise Plan, Western Development Commission, Mayo Sligo Leitrim ETB, Mayo Education Centre and the Department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment.

Full details for all events are available on the website. Follow Mayo Ideas Week on Twitter and Facebook or at www.mayoideasmonth.ie
