Cong Food Village Festival donates €6300 to Charity Cancer Fund for Children

Cong Food Village Festival donates €6300 to Charity Cancer Fund for Children

Cong Food Village Festival, which took place on July 8 and 9 raised €6,300 for Cancer Fund for Children. Funds were raised through voluntary donations at the gates and events such as Cong Duck Derby, organised by Sinead and Gary Collins and Bring Home a Sheep, organised by Paddy Rock.

Cong Food Village Committee believe that charity begins at home and they are very proud to work with their chosen charity, Cancer Fund for Children. The funds raised will go directly to the providing of Cancer Care Services in the Republic of Ireland and the construction of a new Daisy Lodge, therapeutic short break centre being built in in Cong, for children with cancer and their families.

The festival organiers would like to say a big thank you to all sponsors and volunteers, without whose support it would not have been possible to raise the much-needed funds.
