Lacken man Caelan Doris and his Irish team-mates have today jetted off to France on a specially chartered Aer Lingus flight to compete against the best rugby nations in the world. The specially branded Airbus A320, Green Spirit, departed Dublin and was flown by Captain Caolan Flanagan, who attended the same school as Ireland rugby captain, Johnny Sexton.
Mayo native Doris has been one of Ireland's best players this year and is sure to start on Saturday next when Ireland begin their campaign in Bordeaux with a match against Romania, with kick off down for 2.30pm.

Ballina RFC chairman Alan Rowe told The Mayo News previously that the selection of Caelan for the World Cup is another huge boost for rugby in Mayo.
“Caelan is now one of the best players in the world and everyone will see that in the coming weeks. He played his Mini and youth rugby here in Ballina and the jersey he wore for his first cap hangs proudly in our clubhouse. We're very excited about the adventure he's facing into now and can't wait for the action to start,” said Alan.
