OVER €9,000 worth of mobile phones were taken when the Vodafone store on Main Street in Ballinrobe was burgled some time between 4am and 8am last Friday morning.
Phones, cash and cigarettes stolen as businesses burgled
BALLINROBE, IRISHTOWN, SWINFORD OVER €9,000 worth of mobile phones were taken when the Vodafone store on Main Street in Ballinrobe was burgled some time between 4am and 8am last Friday morning. Entry to the shop was gained through the rear of the building and Gardaí are appealing for information from anybody who may have heard or seen anything suspicious to contact them on 094 9542830. Meanwhile, a filling station in Irishtown was also entered on the same day and also through the rear of the building. Gardaí believe that up to three men entered the building and stole a quantity of cigarettes. Other items may also have been taken in the raid and information on this incident should be relayed to the Gardaí in Claremorris on 094 93 71222. The following morning (Saturday last), a business premises on Market Street in Swinford was also burgled in the early hours, with the raiders again gaining entry via the rear of the building. A quantity of cash was taken during the incident and Gardaí in Swinford can be contacted on 094 92 51115 if anybody can help them with their inquiries. Business owners are being urged to be extra vigilant.
