COLEEN ROONEY, wife of world famous footballer Wayne Rooney, was in Mayo last week for a flying visit, and during her short stay she climbed Croagh Patrick.
The mother of four took to Instagram and shared pictures of her climbing the mountain and of her on top of the Reek. She is believed to have climbed with her father Tony, who undertook the challenge of doing the climb barefoot.
“Lovely visit to Ireland with the family,” she wrote on Instagram. “Great experience climbing Croagh Patrick for the second time.”
The 33-year-old, who was born and raised in Liverpool, has strong Irish roots as her maiden name is McLoughlin.
