Men plead guilty to possession of child-porn images

Ballinrobe and Swinford men were found in possession of child pornography

TWO men pleaded guilty to separate charges of the possession of child pornography at last week’s sitting of Castlebar Circuit Criminal Court.
Anthony Woodley pleaded guilty to the single charge of possession of child pornography images at an address in Killala on October 12, 2011.
His defending counsel, Mr Diarmuid Connolly, told Judge Rory McCabe that the charge was of some vintage and a probation report along with psychiatric and psychology reports were requested.
Judge McCabe agreed and adjourned sentencing until June 14.
In an separate case, Hugh Condron of 2 Brookeville Avenue, Swinford, pleaded guilty to the single charge of possession of child pornography images at his address on February 11, 2016.
Sentencing was adjourned until June 19.
