The accident took place at McHale Engineering on the Castlebar Road in the town
A MAN has been airlifted to hospital following a workplace accident at McHale Engineering in Ballinrobe this afternoon.
Gardaí and two ambulances attended the scene following the accident which occurred on an assembly line at the farm machinery production plant on the Castlebar Road in the town. The male was airlifted from a nearby location.
A spokesperson from the Health and Safety Authority confirmed to The Mayo News that a male was ‘badly injured’ and an inspector from the HSA will be attending the scene today to carry out an investigation.
