An exciting new Mayo-focused live TV show, Friday Night Mayo, will launch online next month.
Friday Night Mayo will air live from The Village Inn in Partry from 10.30pm to midnight for eight successive weeks, commencing on Friday, April 7 and all shows will be available to watch online around the world.
It’s the brainchild of Liam Horan and Anthony Moran, the men behind the Mayo-based company LocalStreaming.Club.
Local Streaming have made their name through live football broadcasting, most notably when they broadcast Westport’s recent AIB All-Ireland intermediate football final triumph to an audience of 85,000 people.
Friday Night Mayo will feature guests, music, song, dance and giveaways and will run until May 26.
“Friday Night Live will be broadcast live from The Village Inn in front of a studio audience,” said presenter Liam Horan.
“Although we have become known for our broadcasting of sports events, we also have a big interest in the worlds of community, culture and enterprise, and Friday Night Live aims to appeal to a broad audience.
“It will be broadcast live from 10.30pm to 12 midnight, and will also be archived on our platform within a few hours for anyone who wants to watch it back. This should appeal to people in other time zones.
“Friday Night Mayo will cater to people who live in Mayo, are from Mayo, have a family connection with Mayo – or who simply have a love for the county.
“We are committed to staging eight shows and we plan to have some great guests, a lot of enjoyment and some surprises along the way.”
The guest list for the first show will be announced shortly.
“We are delighted to host Friday Night Mayo – it is a very quirky idea, and we know how well LocalStreaming.club have carried out major national broadcasts already this year, so we are certain it will be a good night for those attending and the internet TV audience,” said Oliver Kelleher, proprietor of The Village Inn.
Admission on the night is free, and the show is also free to air. For more see www.LocalStreaming.club/FridayNightMayo.
