Babestation TV models apologise to Westport residents who received calls in error

A wet and cold bridge at Westport’s Mall was the setting for a public apology today by three glamour models from the UK adult TV channel Babestation. The women travelled to Westport to apologise to the town’s residents who received calls in error from Irish people looking to speak to Babestation TV models. The callers had failed to include the UK 0044 prefix on the phone number, and had been connected to Westport landlines instead.
The story has been in the news all week after Minister of State Michael Ring raised concerns on behalf of constituents. Seizing the chance for plenty of publicity, Babestation sent over three of their models from the UK to Westport to personally apologise.
As a large group of journalists and photographers waited for the models – originally due to arrive at 1.30pm – to arrive, a traffic warden was able to give them an update. “They’ll be here at 4pm lads, I was talking to one of them last night at 5.15am,” he said, to widespread laughter.
The models, Alexa Brooke, Priya Young and Vicky Narni, finally showed up shortly before 3pm. There was an air of general bemusement from local passers by, although some enterprising men did make the most of the opportunity, brushing past some media to get selfies with the three models.
“We’re sorry for any offence we caused anyone. We’re here to make friends with everybody,” Alexa Brooke told reporters. “We want to leave a good after taste in Westport’s mouth after what happened. We really, really do. We want to build relationships with them and apologise obviously for the inconvenience. We’re actually a really nice bunch of people, as I’m sure they are, and hopefully we can build a long and lasting friendship.”
Afterwards the women retired to a local hotel for more media engagements.
