An occasional dance licence for Ballinrobe’s Queen of the Lakes festival has been granted by Westport District Court.
AN application for an occasional dance licence for Ballinrobe’s Queen of the Lakes festival has been granted.
The festival takes place from July 15 to July 22 and this year a special ‘festival marquee’ will be erected on The Neale Road in the town at the proposed site of the new Town Hall.
At Westport District Court last week an application for an occasional dance licence was applied for for July 15 when Citizens Keane (Matt Keane and family) will perform at the marquee. The application was also made for July 16 for the ‘Town Hall Revival Dance’ and July 18 for a ‘Race Dance’.
The court heard from Trevor Burke of Tremar Limited who confirmed that he would be providing bar facilities in the marquee on these nights and that the functions would run from 7.30pm to 12am on each night.
